Continuing Professional Development
for teachers interested in starting a
Globetrotters’ Club
fun activities to engage children in global citizenship
These clubs have already been successfully piloted in 24 primary schools in Kent and Sussex as part of the Extended Schools initiative. We are now offering the opportunity for others to develop such clubs in their schools.
The training will address the following themes:-
- Looking at global issues in a fun and informative way
- Presenting positive images of different cultures.
- Activities to challenge stereotypes
- Understanding the global dimension
- Ideas, activities and resources
- Customising the club to your school’s needs
You will leave fully equipped with session plans and ideas for resources and support, all of which are being written into a handbook which will be sent to you as soon as it is ready.
