Please browse through our 'global' library for artefacts, books, teaching packs, musical instruments and clothes that have been collected from around the world. This facility is still work in progress and although we have many items to view on line we also have many more to be put on the system. Please call us on 01424 870444 or email us on
pidec@pestalozzi.org.uk if you can't find what you want. TO BROWSE THE LIBRARY, please choose from one of the following sections below in the first instance (according to your requirements) and then choose from the options available. A list of items should appear and by clicking on the item's link you will be taken to the page giving more information about it.
TO BOOK OUT ITEMS FOR LOAN ONLINE, please log in to the library by clicking on 'Sign In' at the top of this page or choose the 'library booking' option below. Current PIDEC members should use their membership number as the login name and their password; members should have received this information by letter. After logging in, search the library by choosing one of the search options at the bottom of this page. Once you have found the item you want click on the 'add to library booking' that is shown at the bottom of the page. This will take you to the summary page and then, if more items are required, follow the link to take you back to searching the library. Follow the instructions on the summary/booking page to submit your order. At the bottom of many of the pages for single items you will see references to similar items ‘in our collection’. These do not have their own pages in the library, so if you would like to borrow one or more of such items, please add this request to the ‘Message/Comments’ section on the booking page.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BECOME A PIDEC MEMBER (and borrow from our library) or have any other queries, then please call us on the number above or send us an email. Membership is open to all schools, private and community organisations working with children and young people in the Sussex and Kent areas. The current annual membership fee for schools is £100 and for all other organisations £50. The fee for schools also includes a twilight INSET session for teachers.
