Intern blog: The end of summer...
22 August 2013
On her last day at Pestalozzi, alumna and intern Donna Ruth Mwangase shares one final blog post…
I have finally come to the end of my three month internship at Pestalozzi and many people have been asking me if I am excited to be heading back to Jacobs. Well, I am anxious to be returning to university for my final year as I have a very busy and important academic time ahead of me. I am also relieved to finally be getting to the end of my long and sleepless undergraduate life! After completion of my degree, I hope to get into graduate school and continue my education at the masters and PhD level. However, I must add that I am very sad to be leaving Pestalozzi again. Unlike the first time I left, this time I am sure that I will visit Pestalozzi again soon in the future.
I have had a great three months working at Pestalozzi and I would like to thank everyone who made this internship possible and worthwhile for me. It has been an eye opening experience to see what goes on behind the scenes at Pestalozzi and this has helped me appreciate the opportunities Pestalozzi presented me even more. My hope for Pestalozzi is that the alumni get more involved with the charity, as I believe that there are many ways in which we can help Pestalozzi continue creating a difference in the world.
What I have enjoyed most about my three months at Pestalozzi has been seeing everyone again and getting to know new people. Everyone has been so nice to me and it’s because of this that I feel that the three months have gone by so fast. Thank you everyone for sharing your time with me and for making me feel welcome and at home during my three months.
