The Pestalozzi student football team was transformed this weekend when they received their brand new red and black strip and tested it out with pride!
Thanks to an international charity football match held back in May, the Pestalozzi student team were able to acquire a brand new football kit for future games. The Kits 4 Kicks event, organised by David Brooks and Bob Stewart, starred former Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini and raised over £1,300 in donations. This meant that on Saturday, the Pestalozzi United players could trade in their second hand, mismatched kits for some professional looking sportswear.
"We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Kits 4 Kicks who has helped make this happen,” said Pestalozzi Fundraising Officer Darren Maylam. "The new kit will give a huge morale boost to our student footballers.”
Pestalozzi would like to thank everyone at Kits 4 Kicks, match sponsors Primesigns, Cafe Nero and Smithy’s Chippy, Sedlescombe Rangers FC for providing the pitch on the day, and all others involved who made the match and the outcome of the event a great all-round success.
A big thank you goes out to Superstitch, for sponsoring the match and providing the fantastic new football kit and also to Nick Gardner for kindly donating the football boots.
