Seckou Keita plays at AfriKàBa 2015

We are delighted that AfriKàBa is to become an official corporate sponsor. They will be donating a minimum of 10% from profits made from the event taking place on Friday 9th October. The event features award winning Senegalese kora master, Seckou Keita supported by Welsh poet, Gwyneth Glyn.

Seckou Keita, an incredible kora (22 stringed West African harp) player from Senegal has earned worldwide acclaim for his kora playing and appeared with a host of fellow artists including Salif Keita, Yossou N'Dour, Miriam Makeba and Neil Finn. He has arguably become the most influential and inspiring kora player of his generation.

Playing at AfriKàBa, Seckou will be supported by poet, writer and singer, Gwyneth Glyn, as support artist. Gwyneth comes from Criccieth in North Wales and explores her own folk heritage in her own mother-tongue.

The pair will be inspiring people with their magical musical skills on Friday 9th October at Hastings Museum and Art Gallery. To purchase tickets for this event, please click here.

Below is Seckou's song, 'The Invisible Man' taken from his new album, 22 Strings. We hope you enjoy it just as much as we do!
