Rural Past Times weekend at the Pestalozzi estate, from 9-10 August, proved to be a weekend full of family fun and eventful weather for those who came along.
We were delighted to welcome Rural Past Times back to our beautiful estate for the fourth consecutive year and the bright weather Saturday made for a great show day. With an abundance of agricultural machinery and over 50 craft and trade exhibitors, there was plenty to see and do at the event.
Those who attended browsed the wide variety of stalls, entered the raffle and even had a chance to try their hand at axe throwing! With stands and displays ranging from delicious chutneys to charities and even basket weaving, there was certainly something to please everyone.
We had a Pestalozzi stall within the show, with our bottle tombola which once again proved popular with the crowds. With prizes ranging from shampoo to champagne, many wanted to have a lucky dip into the tombola and see what it would bring! Thank you to everyone who donated a bottle for the event and also to those who volunteered over the weekend. Your support is very much appreciated.
We would also like to thank everyone who came along to our Tea Room for a cream tea, enormous Ploughman’s or a ladybird cupcake, particularly those who braved the weather on the Sunday, which was more soggy than sunny!
