Student visit to Dudwell St Mary Care Home

A number of Pestalozzi students visited Dudwell St Mary Care Home on 29 September to meet and share their cultures with the residents.

Pestalozzi student Pratiksha Sharma, who is in her first year of the International Baccalaureate diploma, talked about the visit. "Going to the care home was a great experience for me. I had never imagined the care home to be so well managed and so well kept. The staff were really friendly and helped us with everything. We entertained the residents with our songs, stories, presentations and poems. I felt so delighted and satisfied."

Sue Tovey, Activity Coordinator at Dudwell St Mary said, "The students were all lovely I particularly remember Pratiksha because she was talking to a resident called Patricia and we spoke about the similar names. Pratiksha had a lovely voice and knew all the words of all the songs - which was amazing given the time spent learning them! We really appreciate the Pestalozzi visit and look forward to seeing the students again in December."
