Charles, like some Pestalozzi students, started his ‘journey’ in Africa and with life-changing scholarships he studied engineering at Cardiff University and business management at INSEAD near Paris.
During 40 years in commerce and industry, Charles led business units in the UK, US, Germany, France, Holland, West Africa and the Far East for such multinationals as Ford Motor Company, ITT, SCOA.s.a. and IG Design Group PLC.
He served on many boards as MD, Executive and Non-Executive director, working on business turnaround and growth. Not-for-profit board services included roles in the Amicus Horizon Group, which provided over 8,000 dwellings, including housing for people with support needs in South-East England. In mid-career, he returned to Africa for eight years to contribute to nation rebuilding after the Biafra war.
He now spends his time on personal projects, education charities in the UK and abroad and as coach and mentor to business leaders.
