At Pestalozzi we believe in the importance of giving back, and that’s why we like our students to do the same. During the summer months, whilst they are back home, we encourage them to volunteer at various organisations so they can put to good use the skills they have learned here at the International village.
This summer many of the students were busy volunteering at organisations close to their hearts; below is a flavour of what they got up in the summer of 2018:
Aashish Archarya
Volunteered at PAF Nepal which is helping rebuilding houses after the Nepal earthquake in 2015. He also volunteered at a local school teaching English and Maths.
Bernice Ramirez
Volunteered at an NGO called The Inspiration Center in Belize which helps disabled children. She also organised and ran a two-day Girl Guide Camp.
Isaac Rukundo
Volunteered at an NGO called Trees for the Future in Uganda and also helped at a health centre in Kabubbu.
