Why work for Pestalozzi?

  • Because you are looking for a new challenge?
  • Because you love working with young people?
  • Because you are inspired by the way our students are committed to their education as a way to change lives?
  • Because you know that they have overcome many obstacles to arrive here?
  • Because we are situated in one of the most beautiful settings in Sussex?

We are a small and friendly charity (approximately 35 staff) based in East Sussex, UK. Our students are selected from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Uganda, Belize, Bhutan, and the exiled communities of Tibet living in India and Nepal. Joining our staff team is a unique opportunity to support our students with their valued education.

Supporting around 40 residential students annually requires varying skills in senior management, fundraising, marketing, personnel, finance, education, student welfare, catering, event management, maintenance, driving and facilities management. We work together to achieve a balance across the range of staff which enables everyone to excel in their chosen field.

We ensure fairness and flexibility by offering comparative and competitive salaries. We are members of the Living Wage Foundation and welcome apprenticeships. With modern, open plan offices, meeting rooms, accommodation and a fully equipped commercial kitchen, Pestalozzi is set in stunning countryside, not far from local shops, our friendly pub, and within easy reach of Hastings and Battle. All staff and their families are included in the activities of Pestalozzi if they wish to be.

New vacancies are posted on our website and on our Facebook page. Completing the application form is easy and collects all the information we need to consider each applicant on their merits.
